Dystingen Headband – The sporty evolution of a Norwegian classic
Inspired by an iconic Norwegian design
The Dystingen Headband is a lighter, sportier interpretation of the classic Cortina 1956 headband. Its pattern features a modernized version of the iconic Cortina design originally created for the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. Over the decades, this pattern has become one of Norway’s most beloved knitwear motifs.
Designed for outdoor activities and everyday wear, this unisex headband keeps ears comfortably protected while offering excellent breathability and freedom of movement.
The softness of Zefir merino wool
Knitted from 100% skin-soft Zefir merino wool, the Dystingen delivers lightweight warmth and itch-free comfort. The fine merino fibers naturally regulate temperature and efficiently wick moisture, making it ideal for active use.
The polypropylene lining provides additional wind protection while enhancing comfort during outdoor sports and winter activities.
Named after Mount Dystingen
The headband takes its name from Mount Dystingen, one of the mountains surrounding the village of Dale in Norway. Rising 999 metres above sea level, it is among the tallest peaks in the area and reflects the outdoor spirit that inspires this collection.
