Update – March 16, 2026: Closing of our solidarity initiative
The 2026 Winter Paralympic Games have now come to an end, and our solidarity initiative, held from March 6 to 15, is now officially over.
We would like to warmly thank everyone who took the time to participate by leaving a comment under this article. Your messages, filled with encouragement, respect, and admiration for Paralympic athletes, truly touched us. We took the time to read each and every one of them, and they genuinely warmed our hearts.
Thanks to your participation, this initiative helped shine a light on the importance of adaptive sport in Quebec and the essential work carried out by Parasports Québec.
Although our initial goal was to receive up to 500 comments, we have chosen, as part of our commitment to this cause that truly matters to us, to donate the full amount planned.
Boutique Jourdain will therefore donate $500 to Parasports Québec.
We would also like to sincerely thank Parasports Québec for their remarkable work in developing and promoting adaptive sport across the province, as well as for helping share this initiative with their community.
Finally, we are pleased to announce that the winner of the Kvitegga headband by Dale of Norway (valued at $94.99) is:
– Ms. Caroline Bourque
Congratulations to her, and thank you again to everyone who participated, shared, and helped shine a light on parasport during this period.
Together, we have helped bring greater visibility to adaptive sport in Quebec.
Every gesture helps move adaptive sport forward in Quebec.
From March 6 to 15, 2026, the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games will shine a spotlight on exceptional athletes from around the world. These Games celebrate athletic performance, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence among individuals living with a physical limitation.
After highlighting the Olympic Games on our website and social media platforms, it felt only natural to also recognize the Paralympic Games. Because sporting excellence is expressed in many forms.
A gesture of solidarity in support of adaptive sport in Quebec
From March 6 to 15, 2026, for every comment left under this article, we will donate $1 to Parasports Québec, up to a maximum of $500.
On March 16, 2026, we will:
– announce the total amount donated to the organization
– draw a winner for a Kvitegga headband by Dale of Norway (valued at $94.99) among all participants
Each participation directly contributes to supporting adaptive sport in Quebec.
Why we support Parasports Québec
Parasports Québec is the provincial federation responsible for the development of parasports in Quebec. For more than 40 years, the organization has worked to make sport accessible to individuals living with a physical limitation, whether in a recreational or competitive setting.
Its role is essential:
– organizing and overseeing various adaptive sport disciplines
– supporting athletes and clubs across the province
– promoting accessibility and inclusion through sport
Supporting Parasports Québec means supporting:
– inclusion
– equity
– collaboration
– respect
– personal achievement
Amplified impact through the Placements Sports program
Donations made to Parasports Québec may be eligible for the government-funded Placements Sports program, a donation-matching initiative established by the Government of Quebec.
This program enhances eligible donations of $25 and more by adding an amount that may reach up to 345% of the amount received by the organization, according to current rules and eligibility criteria.
Concretely, if our initiative reaches the maximum of $500, this could represent:
– $500 donated by Jourdain
– $1,725 added through Placements Sports (345%)
– For a potential total of $2,225 received by Parasports Québec
How to participate
Between March 6 and 15, 2026, leave a comment under this article by answering the following question:
- What do the Paralympic Games inspire in you?
1 comment = $1 donated to Parasports Québec (up to $500).
One participation per person will be retained for the draw.
On March 16, we will announce the total amount raised and proceed with the draw.
Together, beyond limits
The Paralympic Games remind us that performance is measured not only in medals, but also in courage, perseverance, and passion.
We invite you to participate, comment, and share this initiative in support of the parasport movement in Quebec.
Every journey deserves to be celebrated.
