Cortina Socks – A Norwegian Icon for Everyday Wear
The iconic Cortina pattern in a versatile sock
The Cortina Socks feature one of Dale of Norway’s most iconic patterns. Inspired by the original Cortina sweater created for the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo, this design has become one of the most beloved symbols of Norwegian knitting heritage.
Soft, warm, and durable, these socks are equally suited for outdoor adventures and everyday comfort.
The performance of Nativa™ merino wool
Made from a blend of traceable Nativa™ merino wool, polyamide, and elastane, the Cortina Socks provide warmth, breathability, and long-lasting durability. Merino wool naturally absorbs moisture and helps regulate temperature, while polyamide and elastane enhance shape retention and wear resistance.
The seamless toe construction improves comfort and minimizes pressure points during extended wear.
An Olympic Norwegian heritage
The Cortina pattern is taken directly from Dale of Norway’s first-ever Olympic sweater, designed for the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. Today, it remains one of the most recognized and cherished designs in Norwegian knitwear.
