The Sigurd sweater is adorned with horn toggles, runes (ancient alphabetic letters) and Viking symbols. The Freja rune on the sleeves is connected to love and beauty, but also to witchcraft and war. Two other runes interlock with the Freja rune: one is for love, the other for eternity. The Aegishjalmur rune on the sleeves is said to make your enemies fear you, but also to prevent misuse of power. The back is adorned with Yggdrasil, the evergreen World Tree from Norse mythology, with branches extending into the heavens and roots stretching into the underworlds. The sweater is named after the mythological hero Sigurd Fayvnesbane.
The Sigurd men's sweater is made of 100% fine Norwegian wool from the sheep's very first shearing. The short fibres of the wool make the yarn finer and softer, giving us a light, warm and comfortable sweater. The neck is lined with skin soft merino wool.
